A student was kind enough to play a novice like myself in chess today! I am learning quite a bit from Mr. Husein and the students. Tip of the day...a Pawn gets "promoted" to another piece when he makes it all the way to the other side of the board.
We continued to discuss Habit #2 Beginning with the End in Mind. Science Fair projects are due November 20th so we reviewed the project timeline and how to make sure we complete all the necessary steps to reach our goal.
We also created personal "SMART" goal booklets.
Each gifted student K-5 contributed their decorated hand print to our beautiful classroom collage.
