During our morning meeting, I loved hearing about all the wonderful Thanksgiving memories that were made last week!
We kicked off our new Outer Space unit with a read aloud called Stars, Stars, Stars!
Then students worked cooperatively at their table to create a KWL chart about stars. This is a graphic organizer that students can use to record what they already Know, what they Want to learn, and what they have Learned at the end of a lesson.
Mrs. Branum led a Science activity where students compared stars to a candle. They made the observations that stars produce light, heat, and gas just like a candle.
These artists are completing the first step of our "I AM" poster activity. These abstract paintings will become the background of their poems.
