Students chose 2 natural disasters to compare and contrast using a Venn Diagram. They researched their natural disasters using the Jacksonville Public Library online database which we have learned is a very valuable and easy to use tool!
STEM Challenge-Can you build a simple machine powered by wind engery in 30 minutes? Students used cardstock, straws, and LifeSaver mint candies to build a PUFF Mobile. We measured how far the could blow them in 5 seconds. The winners of this challenge were Ethan and Sadie with a distance of 220 centimeters...great teamwork and engineering!
