4th Grade Pancakes

Reading, Science, Math, and Pancakes all wrapped up in one delicious lesson! After reading aloud Pancakes, Pancakes by Eric Carle students measured the ingredients, and Ms. Bartley whipped up some delicious chocolate chip pancakes. While the pancakes were on the griddle, students observed the clues for chemical changes like bubbling, aroma and color changes.

 After enjoying their pancakes, students created their own "Chemical Cafe"menus highlighting chemical and physical changes throughout the food descriptions. What a fun and yummy afternoon!
