We welcomed a fabulous new first grader to our class today!
Mrs. Overby (aka Sammy's grandma and also a Teacher of the Gifted) joined our morning meeting today. She will be helping us on Tuesdays whenever she can find the time:)
Students shared their penguin posters that they have been working on for the past couple of weeks. We practiced our presentation and listening skills during this activity.
Mrs. Overby learned some strategic chess moves from the students during Think Fun time.
Students used a new online research program called BookFlix during their computer center.
We reviewed the critical thinking game of BOGGLE today and some students were able to create 15-18 words...well done!
This young lady chose work with her crocheting kit during Think Fun time...I would love for her to teach me a few stiches!
