Today's post was written by: Sofia and Gabriel.
It was Clancy's last day so Gabriel was very sad. We also built/launched marshmallow catapults. It was tons of fun.
After we launched we wrote down our distances and divided by three to get our average .
We took a trip to the school garden and smelled really strong herbs. We smelled Rosemary and Oregano. We saw lots of butterflies and pretty flowers.
We also wrote in our gratitude journals about 10 things in nature were thankful for. One of our students, Sofia, had one of her entries about things we love that nature supplies with reasons to support.
Today, chess was a little different. Opponents were only allowed to move their Knights and Pawns. "That is a very hard match." Says Gabriel.
Following chess, we made math puzzles. The math puzzles had to use words, and it can only be mental math. No paper or pencil! Students are taking these home today to share with their family. How long will it take you to solve the puzzle?
People are supposed to swap bags, with another student, and the sticks are all jumbled so nobody knows right from the start what order they are in. Solve, solve, students!
