Gratitude Journals
Our prompt today was:
Write about one person who is "your world" and why

Colin's Journal Response
LJ's Journal Response

Today we read aloud The Quilt maker's Gift which is a wonderful fable about generosity. Then the students created their own paper quilt squares which we will "weave" together and hang in the classroom. Here are a few of the lessons the students took away from this story...
"You should always share the items you do not need" - Kai
"Give stuff to people if you don't need it" - Sarah
"Things and money don't always make you happy" - Pearson
"If you have everything you need share the extras" - Ethan
"If you get something you don't need give it to someone who may need it" - Addison
"If you have everything and you want more and more give some things away and just keep what you need" - Colin
