2nd Grade Teamwork!

Teamwork was our focus this morning as students joined their shipmates to organize a class party.

First jobs were assigned to our 6 ships...

 

This Captain reads the directions to her crew.

 Students work on a chart that they will later present to the class with all of their ideas for a class party.

 Presentation Crews share their shipmates' ideas with the whole class and answer questions about their planned party.

 After the presentations, students discuss and reflect on how well they performed their job role and improvements that could be made in the future.

Our afternoon was spent learning about our new "Choice Time" activities.

 

This group is brainstorming words from their BOGGLE board and using a dictionary as a reference tool.

 

 Using our "art smarts" students create geometric designs using pattern blocks.

 Captain McLeod explains how to play Farkle an engaging math game.
